Does the lack of experience in the natural world set the stage for anxiety? If we lose our sense of self (referenced by nature), do we notice? We are full of excuses, and blame, but could it be as simple in some cases, as loss of nature in our lives?

I feel it is important to have meaningful experiences with the elements; fire, water, soil, plants, animals, and food. Your thoughts?
